It’s time to change our mindset towards food. Food is what fuels our lives. We need to stop seeing it as something bad and it’s uncomplicate our relationship with it!
Most people stretch before a workout believing that it’s the appropriate way to start a workout, but not any kind of stretching is good before a workout. Matter of fact some stretches can be harmful to do.
There are two types of stretching, Dynamic and Static
Static is when you are not moving but holding a positions that stretches a muscle
Dynamic is when you are engaging in an active movement of the muscle
Imagine your muscle is like a rubber band. If it is cold and you try to stretch it, it might break. Same thing for your muscle, you should not use static stretches BEFORE the workout since the muscle is not warm yet. Static workout is for AFTER your workout when the muscles are warm and ready to be stretched.
For before the workout, you must do Dynamic stretches. that way you warm up the muscle without stretching it in an unhealthy way.
Note: Same concept for any type of training (Running, Lifting, Boxing, Swimming,…etc)
