Ensure..
• you’re eating enough
• you’re eating from all the (vegan) food groups
• you’re doing a moderate amount of exercise (not overdoing it)
• you have a healthy mentality around food, don’t restrict and ‘save’ food for later
• eating balanced meals and snacks
• you’re not strictly (!!!) planning small meals or meals. By all means plan meals! BUT make sure you’re making and having enough. Don’t plan to eat small meals knowing you’ll want more later! Same with planning days of eating!
• listen to your body, I cannot stress this enough. If you’re eating healthy, whole foods, you’re body WILL tell you when it’s had enough and what it wants!
That’s just some tips.
You can also reflect on binge eating patterns –
– why am I doing this? Am I bored? Hungry? Stressed? Is this my mental illness? Is this a mental illness?
– when do I do this? Morning? Night?
– what brings this on? Stress? Sadness? Tiredness?
Reflecting can help you recognise why, when and what, and you can gauge better yourself what to do. Open up to friends and family if you need extra help, or see a doctor if this is a big problem in your life, there is lots of support out there!
